Currently Reading Across America
has three different trails. Each trail takes readers on an
imaginary journey. Each reader receives a custom-designed map with a
trail of dots winding across the country. As readers reach their
reading goals, they receive sticker dots to place on the trail.
When they encounter a city, they receive a colorful, fully
illustrated city card containing a wealth of information on the city
and state, as well as other "fun facts". The reading goals can be
individually set based on the reading ability of the child. For
those children who are not yet readers, their goal can be reached by
having a parent or other family member read to them. Each route has
24 different city cards. |

Reading Across America
programs are easily integrated into existing classroom work, yet allows
students to progress based on their individual capabilities. Teachers
and parents can also adjust the length of the program, which can be
incorporated into a single grading period, extended for the whole year,
or used as a summer or winter reading program. Each package contains
everything you'll need, including maps, city cards, an administrator's
map, master log sheets, sticker dots and bookmark. |
